Overview
Interval ("the App") is a contact lens replacement tracking application developed by Click Insights. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
The short version: We don't collect your personal data. Everything stays on your device (and optionally syncs to your personal iCloud account).
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
All data you enter into Interval—including your lens replacement schedule, prescription information, and settings—is stored locally on your device.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. This data:
- Is encrypted by Apple
- Is only accessible by you
- Syncs only between your own devices
- Is governed by Apple's privacy policy
- Is never accessed by us
You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the app settings.
Camera Access
The App requests camera access to scan contact lens boxes and read prescription information. Camera data is:
- Processed entirely on your device
- Never transmitted to any server
- Never stored as images
- Only used to extract text for your convenience
Notifications
The App may request permission to send local notifications to remind you about lens replacements. These notifications are:
- Generated entirely on your device
- Not sent through any external server
- Fully customizable in settings
Analytics & Tracking
We do not use any analytics or tracking services.
We don't use Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or any other analytics platform. We don't track how you use the app, what features you access, or any usage patterns.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party services that collect data. The only external service used is Apple's iCloud, which is optional and governed by your agreement with Apple.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- You have complete control over your data
- You can delete all data at any time using the "Reset All Data" option in settings
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we don't collect any personal information from any users, this applies to all age groups.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
